Easy Breezy Chunky Beanie Crochet Pattern

It’s the last Friday of October so that means today I’ll be sharing the last crochet pattern from my Easy Breezy Collection! Today’s free pattern is another best selling pattern in my Etsy shop! It’s the Easy Breezy Chunky Beanie!

This pattern uses a bulky weight yarn so this beanie works up FAST! It’s thick, warm, and perfect for the colder months. It’s also unisex and can be made ANY size so it’s a great design for everyone in the family!

I particularly love this pattern for making baby shower gifts! Since it works up so fast, it’s great for a last minute gift idea! We’re also coming up quick to the holidays and this is something that you could make for anyone and everyone on your list!

Not ready to make just yet?! PIN this pattern for later!

The instructions include 8 sizes ranging from newborn to adult large, but you can easily adjust it to be any size! Simply make your starting chain shorter or longer and work more or less rows. The chain length will determine the hat height, while the rows determine the width of that hat. Each size includes a 2″-3″ fold over brim, so be sure to keep that in mind if you’ll be adjusting the length! There are so many variations you can make with this design: make it brimless, make it slouchy, make it over-sized, or add a pom pom! Have fun with it and make it unique!

I used Lion Brand Yarn’s Color Made Easy in the color Kombucha for this orange beanie but you can substitute for any bulky (5) weight yarn! Check out Lion Brand’s website HERE to shop Color Made Easy or follow the link in the supplies sections to find it on Amazon!

Notes

● Pattern is split up between baby, child, and adult sizes. Instructions are for size small first, followed by the next size up in parenthesis.
● All sizes are written as a standard fit beanie with a 2”-3” fold over brim. You can adjust the size to any length you like by making your initial chain longer or shorter. You can adjust the width of the hat by working more or less rows.
● Beginning chains do not count as stitches throughout the whole pattern. At the end of each row, chain 1 and turn, work the first stitch into the last stitch from the previous row.
● The number in parenthesis at the end of each row represents the total number of stitches to be worked in each row.
